Workers are given in-house certification training for Levels One through Three in the abatement of lead and asbestos, and remediation of mold.

In-House Training

ProActive has a thorough and comprehensive training program that is offered to all workers.

We believe that having a knowledgeable and competent workforce allows for every project to be performed safely and efficiently. Proper and effective training arms us with such tools.

Orientation

Individuals interested in employment with ProActive Hazmat are given a full day orientation of abatement, the dangers of asbestos and ProActive Hazmat’s approach. Respirator fit tests and donning of disposable coveralls are performed during the orientation.

Specialized Training

ProActive has certified personnel who perform the following training:

  • WHMIS
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods

Third Party Specialized Training

ProActive enrolls workers in third-party training from recognized institutions, such as Trauma Tech and CSA Group:

  • Confined Space Awareness
  • Confined Space Entry
  • Fundamentals of Infectious Control during Construction, Renovation, and Maintenance of Healthcare Facilities
  • Effective Implementation and Practical Applications of Infection Control
  • Fall Protection
  • First Aid
  • Mobile Equipment Operation
