Management Team

Brian Gibson

Principal / General Manager

Brian has over 20 years of experience in the insurance restoration industry.  A graduate of BCIT’s Management Program, a certified BC Construction Safety Alliance COR Auditor, and has attained journeyman status with the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC), including Water Restoration Technician (WRT), and Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT).  Brian is an Owner of the company and oversees the day-to-day administrative functions of the company, and a plethora of other activities ranging from business development to project coordination and human resources.

Sheldon White

Principal / Project Director

Sheldon is a certified asbestos abatement professional with over 30 years in the industry, and has been responsible for managing and completing some of the largest hazardous materials remediation projects in the Province of British Columbia.  In addition to being an Owner of the company, Sheldon’s responsibilities include the preparation of service quotes and tender bids for private and public projects of all sizes and variety, from marine vessels to hospitals, schools, and office buildings, and takes an active role in ensuring that all projects are completed on time and on budget, and to the complete satisfaction of the customer.

Evelyn Kaiser

Office Manager

Evelyn has over 11 years of Insurance Industry related experience as well as 11 years within the Accounting and Administrative area of Legal Firms. She has worked in roles with increasing responsibilities up to the Executive Assistant /Office Management Areas. Her desire to hone her skills has most recently lead to the successful completion of a Simply Accounting Course at BCIT. Her motto in life is “I can do anything I set my mind to” and that has helped her develop into her current role.

Sandi Liddicoat

Project Manager

Sandi brings over 26 years of industry experience to Proactive. Beginning as a field technician Sandi quickly worked her way up to a Foreman’s position and more recently for the past 13 years a respected Site Superintendent. Sandi has recently been promoted to the level of Project Manager. Her experience coupled with a sound understanding of WSBC Regulation and Occupational Health & Safety, Sandi’s role with Proactive will be to ensure projects start-up correctly and finish on time, on budget, and to industry standards.

Luke Babinec

Estimator / Project Manager

Luke brings the highest level of service quality to his clientele by combining his 20 years of industry experience as a certified hazardous material professional with his training in confined spaces, as a water restoration technician, fall protection, and numerous safety courses. Throughout the years Luke has acquired a perspective of the Hazmat Industry from many angles. Rising through the ranks from technician, to site supervisor, to estimating and project management, his experience includes the management and completion of time-sensitive projects within unique circumstances. Dealing with infection control within highly sensitive institutional environments is a strength that has garnered the attention and confidence of the health care community. Luke is dedicated to helping ProActive Hazmat meet and exceed industry standards while providing a quality of service second to none.
